Patio Installation
100 square metres of Fossil Mint Indian Sandstone patio and steps.
The customer had recently completed a full renovation of their property and was looking to create an outdoor space that complemented the improvements made to their home. We attended the property to carry out a free site survey and discuss their vision for the project.
During our consultation, the customer explained that they wanted a light-coloured paving slab with a rustic and natural appearance. We showcased a range of samples for them to choose from, and they instantly fell in love with the Fossil Mint Indian Sandstone. Part of the Indian Sandstone family, this beautiful natural stone offers a unique blend of colours, textures and character, making it an excellent choice for creating a timeless outdoor space.
We then discussed the layout, design and overall size of the patio before carefully measuring the area. Following our site visit, we provided a free, detailed written quotation outlining all works required to bring the project to life.
Once the quotation was accepted, a start date was agreed and our team got to work.
Over the course of six days, we transformed the area from start to finish. The project began with excavating the site and removing all waste materials off-site. We then installed foundations for the brick steps and laid a solid Type 1 MOT sub-base to provide a strong and long-lasting foundation for the patio.
To ensure maximum adhesion and longevity, every slab was slurry-primed before being laid individually onto a full wet-mix concrete bed. Once the paving had been completed and the concrete had cured, all joints were professionally grouted in the customer’s chosen colour to provide the perfect finishing touch.
The end result was a stunning new patio that perfectly complemented the property’s recent renovation. The customer was delighted with both the finished installation and our attention to detail throughout the project. In fact, they were so pleased with the outcome that they have since booked us to install their new driveway and have been recommending our services to friends and family.
